Question 2 - I watched the lecture again (around 21:49) where you spoke about the purposive 'approach' and it wasn't mentioned that 3/4 Latin terms would be seen as part of the purposive 'rule', and it is not included in the notes.

Hi OpenTuition, please note there is a typo in Q2; exclusion is written instead of exclusio.

    Thanks,
    Max

If you could explain the 2nd Quiz question, and its answer. And why the others were not correct.
  7. Asif
    Hi sir,

It would be appreciated that during the Review Quiz section, under each part, you explain in summary why the wrong answers were wrong, and why the right answer was right. Basically - your margin notes

I think it's an excellent idea to do questions after each Lecture. Good questions Mick. Greatly appreciate your assistance.

Thanks for this quiz. I only missed question 4. If I may ask, why is it that the statement is false (meaning the court will not always follow the literal rule)? Is it because of the use of the word "always"
  14. MikeLittleTutor
Yes. The Court will always follow the literal rule ....

.... unless to do so would lead to an absurdity - look up the case re Sigsworth

    OK?
  15. Asher
    Thanks for the clarification.
