   Hi,
   I wanna clear about existing and current accounting standard.

   IAS 17 and IFRS 16 both cover lease. IFRS 16 is adopted later than IAS 17.

   So what standard should we follow to recognise lease at work place?

   Details explanations are highly expected. Thank much more.

     Basically I want to know as following:
     1. ISA 17 will be replaced with IFRS 16 or not.
     2. Both are applicable?
     3. To recognise lease it will depend on organisation policy whether which standard will be followed (IAS 17 or IFRS 16)?

     Hi,

     IFRS 16 has now replaced IAS 17 for accounting periods starting from 1 January 2019. You could have applied it earlier if IFRS 15 had already been adopted.

     IFRS 16 is the examinable standard for SBR.
