    Please explain answer for question 3, job and not service costing for repair services for central heating systems. Thanks.

      It is emergency repairs and so the work needed each time will be different, so each job will be costed separately.

    why is production overheads times 4 and not 8

      I assume that you are referring to question 1.

      If so it is because each unit is taking 4 hours of labour (because the labour cost is $32 and labour is paid $8 per hour).

      Q3: The answers (in this order) are job, service, job, batch

      Q4: The answer is service costing

        Why is job costing also for manufacturing and not only for service? Can you provide a relevant example ?

        Why cant made to measure curtain and soft furnishing not be service costing ? Does composite unit not apply here as it would be tailor made focused?
