Wanted to know if these lecture videos and notes are still relevant for December 2018 Sitting, if any changes advice areas where to pay particular attention to.
I booked F9 for this Exam sitting but was too busy at work and could not study at all :(. Now i am thinking, is it a a bad idea to pick FM and SBL together? I would like to kill both in Dec.
Hi Sir John, I am a great fan of your lecture. Sir can you please suggest me if is that a good idea to do F9 and F8 together for the December session. But I am not a theory lover. I am interested in sitting for F9 because of your lecture.Kindly tell me if which paper will be good to do along with F9 (only with Opentuition Resource).Thank you.
There is no problem with the lecture notes. Check that every page is numbered – if not then there is something wrong at your end. There are some blank pages in order to make sure every chapter starts on a right hand page, as is normal.
Hi John, I wanted to ask if your F9 lectures would be enough to score good passing marks in the paper or is it necessary that I go through the Kaplan or BPP study texts aswell as listening to your lectures. Please share your thoughts. Thanks
The lectures are a complete free course and cover everything needed to be able to pass the exam well. What you do need is a Revision Kit from one of the ACCA approved publishers. They contain lots of exam standard questions to practice, and practice is vital to passing the exam.
Okay so there is no need to read through the whole (BPP/Kaplan) study text, if I watch all your lectures and practice using the (BPP/Kaplan) practice kit?
I want to take F9 CBE in March 2018 sitting but i am bit worried because i have no idea on how to input workings in the excel and i am not fast in typing as well. Can you please guide me since there is no paper base option in my location. Thank you
hello sir, I’m going to appear in in F9 exam in March/2018 and I want to know do I need to go through F5 lectures first to enhance my understanding Or just these lectures for F9 are enough to pass the exam successfully. please guide me ASAP.. Thanks.
I have done Indian accounting and I am going to start ACCA journey from F9. I have no prior base in UK accounting. Please guide me how should I proceed with it. Also, I have an exemption from first four exams.
If you go to the main F9 page you will find links as to how to study for the paper, together with links to all our free resources.
(If you are exempt from the first four exams, why are you not starting with Paper F5? The ACCA recommend that the papers are taken in number order, and this is very sensible.
If any of you reading this comment, i should tell you my experience at opentuition studying f9. I was bit confused about which paper to choose for the sept exam 2017. But then i came to know its John Moffat who is giving the lectures. So i decided to try F9 paper. To tell you the truth i really dont know how to thank him for making the lectures so intresting and precise. Its because of your lectures sir I was able to clear the exam & for sure im going to take P4. I never knew he would make the subject so intresting. Today my results came. and i cleared with 53 marks. John Moffat Sir.. Thankyou!!! Such an inspiring teacher <3
I have plans to appear in F9 paper in Dec 2017. I will take guidance from these video lectures and I have Kaplan Study Text and Practice Kit for 2016 and BPP Practice Kit for 2016. Can I use these now? As you told there is no syllabus change. Just wanted to make sure whether these video lectures are enough to get full knowledge and understanding of the F9 syllabus?
Yes, provided you also watch the lectures working through some past exam questions, and attempt our practice tests and mock exam.
Most importantly you must buy a Revision Kit from one of the ACCA approved publishers. They contain lots of exam standard questions to practice, and practice is vital to passing the exam.
(In future please ask this sort of question in the Ask the Tutor Forum, and not as a comment on a lecture 馃檪 )
Hi John, coming back to listening to your lectures after some time and as always respect and gratitude. I am preparing for P4 now, do you recommend that I cover F9 too for a deeper understanding. I passed F9 in Sep15 so I don’t remember everything..

Our notes and lectures are always kept up to date for the current syllabus.
They are therefore fine for the December 2019 exams and cover everything needed to be able to pass the exam well.

John Moffat says
The lectures can only be watched online. It is the only way that we can keep this website free of charge.

In future, please ask this kind of question in the Ask the Tutor Forum and not as a comment on a lecture.
Assuming that you do have time to study for the December sitting, then it is not a bad idea to pick FM and SBL together 馃檪

In future please ask this sort of question in the Ask the Tutor Forum rather that as a comment on a lecture.
Provided your Revision Kit is not too many years old, then yes – it is OK.
The syllabus for the FM exam is the same as it was for the F9 exam during the last year.
