past rates of polls should certainly be higher than acutal pass rates as people who failed are not likely to vote…

@chouchou, Like any other P papers, P3 requires knowledge of business from the practical point of view. The questions with long case scenariors may be off putting, actually, the answers are contained within the scenarior, you just have to extrapolate them and link them to the appropriate business models.

The other considerations you must take into account are past papers. The scenarior may appear similar, but take note of the verbs used in the current exam (ie Discuss, advise, etc which is on a higher level as compared to what, how,etc questions on the lower level).

      GOODLUCK and do not dispair.

it’s only a poll, so do not have to take it so seriously 😉
Still, the difference throughout all the papers seems similar, which means, it maybe more accurate than you think 😉

@rukayya, Just because you failed, it doesn’t mean that others did.

hey everyone, do you think i can pass f7,f6 and f9 with open tuition alone. i dont like bpp and kaplan. my time is also verylimited, so opentuition is my only option do do 3 paper in such time constraints.

@evanuom, it depends on whether you’d rather take 3 papers and potentially get a lower pass rate (or even fail one or two) or take only 2 and be able to focus your studying time more, and have a better chance of passing with a decent mark. I would rather do the latter, but everyone feels differently about things so it’s your personal choice.

I would like to say OT notes cover most parts well, but if you do not understand some part its better to use BPP or kaplan books.

well, we never claim opentuition notes are study text replacement, 🙂
and to benefit from the notes, everyone should watch video lectures, to get the most from the notes

What I can say is that I need salvation for the P7 paper. This was my 3rd failure. I need assistance on answering the questions here. Any suggestions?

@mazwi, P7 is about interpretation of accounts. If you can’t interprate the sets of accounts as given in an exam (which is very practical), then it will be very difficult for you to provide advice to management let alone in an exam. You also need to know the risks involved and identify them from the scenarior given. Ensure that you master P2, if possible, take them together. I hope you did justice to the paper in June 2012.

      Goodluck.

@kaimbi.no, you have to study from ACCA’s aproved text provider like BBP.as OT notes are for extra aid for you.
