    I passed F4 and F8 using OT only. I am now study with OT for F7 and F6, wish me luck guys, will let you guys know how I did. :-)

    past papers 2 tymes n good grip on standards..Ppl hardly complete this paper..
    I completed 70% and got 62% marks :)
    I have just failed p7 and left with one last paper now :)

    Thanks Open Tuition. I managed to Pass both P7 and P4. I am now an affiliate. The bonus is that i did an extra optional subject thus giving me 6 subjects at the professional level. It has been a great journey!!! Keep up the good work!

    i have pass F5 exam after the exam i thought i would fail but thanks god. December i plan to do F8 with that i can finish F level, i can go for P level from 2013. unfortunately i could not start Practical Experience since my current role in my work are mostly admin related. can anybody advice please

    Left P5 & P7 to end my ACCA journey...Sad to know that these two papers were ranking the lowest pass rates. Failed P7 in my first attempt... Hope the pass rates will be "adjusted" higher in Dec sitting.

    Pass P7 on second attempt thank u OT for your prediction of Group auditing question. These papers are challenging and practicing past papers is the key to success.

    I'm in a Dilema whether to set P4 or P6. It will be my last acca paper. Anyone can help me in making the decision? I would love to hear from people who have set either one or both papers.

    @georgievadilyana, - I have sat both P4 and P6 - but it all depends what your plans are for the future. I found P4 probably the hardest subject out of all of them (even harder than P2) but I quite like tax so P6 was an easier subject for me to get stuck into. Personally I am not sure I will be using much of what I learnt from P4, it didn't really seem all that relevant to me but I suggest you have a quick look through the P4 notes on opentuition to see if you think it will be useful in the future for you. Not sure if it will sway you but I found very little info, notes, revision tips etc for P6 online so it was all textbook work. Which ever you decide the key with these ones is to practice questions constantly, start now and by the time the exams come round you'll sail through! Good luck

    @1772503, I finally am afiiliate, I passed p5 at the fourth attempt with 53, while I passed all others first attempt! included P7.
    I wouldnt recomment P5 to annyone the man is crazy and the questions are just blurry

    @billbest, Me also atempted p5 for the first time & i got 66 n let me tell u tht I hv prepared p5 onself basis within a month may b in 20 days so how u can say that choosing p5 is not good, its all about ur skills and concepts u have .......

    @ahsanpervez, stil since the new examiner started, the pass levels have been in the lowest of all papers..35%,35%,29% and now 35%.
    but everyone is different as you said, and that is my personnal opinion of course :)

    @1772503, I sat for the first time and I got 75. Alex Watt's questions are so much easier now as compared to the meticulous calculations under Shane Johnson last time. You have greater flexibility in answering the questions, but you just need to understand the question requirements very, very carefully.

    @rosemary, you may like to refer to the P5 forum whereby I post similar comments to other forumers.

    In addition to that, I studied P5 differently by expanding my horizons beyond the text book. I look for case studies that illustrate the application of models (ie. Google up India's Tata Nano used Target Costing. It has a great story behind the use of the theory.)

    Good luck, and as usual be prepared. Some students may comment that question requirements from Alex Watt are unclear, but in my perspective, the wording sparks clarity because of the extra time I took to understand the Examiner's Approach to P5.

    Hello, I am now an ACCA affiliate. I have passed and written 12 papers in 6 sittings (granted 2 exemptions). I have just written and passed P2, which was not as challenging as one thinks. Let me give all students a word of advice. DO NOT spend alot of time reading the theory (a little more time on P1 & P3). Focus on PAST PAPERS. If you do all the past papers available on accaglobal - you will see every type of question, all standards, and you will ace the exam. I have NEVER spent more than 2 weeks preparing for ANY paper, and I only ever failed P5 once, and passed on the next sitting. Passing exams is all about your exam technique, and this will be mastered by doing past papers. As you go through the answers, write notes on theoretical/ standards that have been tested. So in short FORGET the theory and reading the whole text. PAST PAPERS= PASSES. In P2, know some theory & standards as EASY marks are available outside the consolidation question & readup on Exposure Drafts. I didnt, but still passed even though an ED question came up. In truth ACCA content is broad, too broad, so focus on a question based study program. You can thank me when u PASS. Good luck

    @ovaiskhan, Wel i think u should hav broad knowledge , though past papers help u a lot and I also believe that they are essential if u want to hav good technique but u should hav good knowledge as well and for that i wil say that u should go through whole theory atleast once, yup if u hav time of 2 weaks as my friend mentioned then go for past papers and other quick stuff to make ur paper pass but remember u also need knowledge , broad knowledge

    I got both P6&P3. Now only one paper left. I am confused whether to take P7 or P4. Is there any option to write any of the optional papers after becoming an affiliate?

    @krishnamr007, if you are interested in finance go for p4 but remember it is too difficult and if you are interested in audit go for p 7. if u want to pass easily take p7 and when qualified u can then set for p4

    I may opt for P7 as the other students feel that it is comparitively easier than P4. do you know about the procedures for attempting the other optional papers after becomig an affiliate? DO we have to intimate ACCA in advance before becoming an affiliate?

    @krishnamr007, unless I am more interested in finance than in audit I think P4 is the most difficult one! and ppl that set for p7 told me that it's pretty easy. up to you but i do not recommend p4 at all :)

    i can't believe this result. fail in both F2 and F3. but i have studied this two subjects in my first degree and business account in both O level and A level.

    @Aahdey ali, So .... get practising multiple choice questions - as many as you can get your hands on. In one of the publishers' revision kit there are around two thousand ( from memory ) questions. Do those ... and then do them again. And then again. And again. Do not mark your answer in the book itself - put your answers on a separate piece of paper

    Passed F8 on my 4th try; I though i would never get past this!

    imo you need very good understanding of ACCOUNTING standards not just auditing standards. Its like how can you audit if you do not know your accounting. So focus on key standards. I managed to pass 1st time and I do not work in accounting or auditing environment.
