Hi, I’m looking for recommendations for a good study provider that offers good value for money, as I’m paying for it myself.

I’ve studied two papers by myself, but unfortunately failed Audit. I was actually convinced I had passed with a good mark. I used OpenTuition lectures, did all the revision and plenty of past paper practice, but clearly it wasn’t enough.

I’m now thinking of using a provider for my Audit resit. Can anyone recommend one based on personal experience? Kaplan sounds good, but I’m not particularly keen on paying around £900 for one paper.

Any recommendations would be really appreciated!

What mark did you get? What was your exam feedback? Did you attempt ACCA's pre-session mock exam? And watch the debrief video? Before paying for any course I recommend you narrow down the reason(s) why you were not successful. Feel free to engage with me on the AA tutor forum.

Thanks for your reply. I got 38%. My exam feedback shows Knowledge at 65% but Application at only 31%, with Internal Controls being my weakest area at 28%. I did the ACCA pre-session mock and watched the debrief. I actually thought I had written quite a lot in the exam and even had time to go back and check my answers, but obviously my answers weren’t focused enough in the right direction. It seems that applying my knowledge to the scenario and exam technique were my main issues, hence why I’m considering using a tuition provider for my resit. If I find one I like, I may also continue with them for my future papers.
