Sir in this question examiner has asked that analyse and discuss the recent financial performance and the current financial position of YNM Co

1)I want to ask that is there any specific ratios that we have always have to calculate while doing such type of questions? In examiners answer examiner has calculated various ratios for financial analysis, but in exam how we will know that which ratios we have to calculate? Is there any rule regarding this?

    2) For financial position examiner has commented on interest cover and gearing. And for financial performance examiner has commented on Net profit, PAT and interest charges. So whenever examiner ask that analyse and discuss the recent financial performance and the current financial position , so do we always have to comment on these ratios and figures?

You are expected to know all the ratios, but to apply those that are most relevant to what the question is asking. You will see from the marking scheme how the marks are allocated.
The examiner is more concerned that you understand the relevant of the measures rather than simply the calculations of them.
