Hi sir,
Do we still get mark if we accidentally write those name in short form, like Fair Value of Net Assets we wrote it as FV of NA?
Thanks.
I can’t believe that, in the answer to a computational question, you’re still thinking about writing out in full “fair value of subsidiary net assets at date of acquisition” instead of “FV of SNA @ DOA”
Never mind “accidentally” – I would abbreviate as a conscious decision.
In an answer that involves writing sentences / reports / explanations – in fact pretty much every question other that the 35 marks of consolidation – then I agree that you should not abbreviate. But even then it’s possible.
Say you were going to refer it IFRS a number of times within an answer, then the first time you refer to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) then do what I have just done and show the abbreviation in brackets after the long form
From then on, it’s acceptable to use IFRS
ok?
Hahaha…ok, will try not to accidentally abbreviate. Lolol
