Hi, I have failed 3 attempts from 42, 47 and now 46. I was very confident that i will pass on last attempt after did revision and practicing on questions. I am not sure it is because of my writing skills or possible of other issues. I am thinking to skip F8 and proceed to F9 in June 2017 then come back to F8 on next sitting. F9 is my 1st attempt in June 2017 and I on self study and full time employment.
Could you please advise how to overcome the issue if i opt to resit F8 so i can prepare on the right way.

I assume that, by now, you know the theories and factual content. Therefore, your problem must be in properly addressing the question, its information and its requirements
You also have to write in sufficient detail. For 10 marks you should be writing about 1.25 sides. Everything has to be explained as fully as you can.All I can suggest is ensuring you write in full detail, pointing out EXACTLY what the issues/problems/ controls/tests are. Do not write one or two word replies. For exactly, if asked to explain how you would assess the adequacy of a bad debt allowance do not simply say:
“Look at the aged debtor analysis.”
Instead say something like:
“Examine the aged debtor analysis for debts older than 90 days and enquire about why these have not been paid. Assess whether any provision made against them is adequate”.
Then look critically at the differences between what you said and what the model answer says.
If you can find a course for 1 or 2 days that concentrated on exam technique then that would be a good investment.

Thanks for your advise. Which revision kit will you recommend. Actually, i did some research that the answer required to elaborate more i.e identify issues, controls, test of controls and etc. but due to limited time I couldn’t complete the rest of the questions. end up the last questions will be answered briefly.
How should I overcome this.

A kit from BPP, Kaplan or Becker is fine.
