    Hello opentuition
First I should say thanks to your helpful resources, they are amazing.

Actually I got an issue about word processing in CBE format.
Because it’s the first time that I take cbe exam I really wanna know about how to show word processing(in detail or general)?
Because I feel so slow when I use cbe format I wanna know how examiner will mark my workings if I don’t show them in depth.
As an example today I took a mock exam which was about preparing FS and finally I calculated all items correctly and made them balance, but I didn’t use word processing for this question at all and I just showed my general working in Bracket in front of each item in the face.
As an example for calculating equity option I just showed total FL less revised FL and the difference is equity option
But didn’t show anything about how to calculate revised figure.
That was one example however I did so with other items, but correct and short.

And my issue is whether examiner will deduct Marks for this way of calculation
If yes in what percentage to a 20 Marks section c
    If not that’s brilliant ?

    Thanks for your support,thanks opentuition.

    Hi,

Glad you have found the resources to be useful.

Even though it is a CBE you still need to show the same working that you would do if it was a written exam. So in your example above you need to show the working where you have calculated the debt element of the convertible using discounting, as if you make a mistake then you will be awarded partial credit.

Your use of brackets as working is fine, and you should continue this.

    Thanks
