Hi folks,
I have passed DipIFR, and it says that I can take exampion from F7. But I have to pay exemption fee.
So why do I have to pay this fee if I paid to ACCA when passed DipIFR ?
I think it is not fair
Do someone have this experience ?
Thanks
Why do you have to obey any rules? If this is an ACCA rule, then the only way to avoid it is …… don’t do ACCA!
Hi,
I assume that it is reasonable to charge a fee to cover administrative expenses that occur even if you have an exemption. I don’t know however, why the amount is equal to the early exam fee. Some possible answers:
-ACCA wants to encourage you to sit the exam even if you have an exemption
-It is expensive to examine all the college/university degrees and other qualifications that can give you an exemption and the fee covers the cost of this work as well
-It could be an additional “barrier” that protects the reputation of ACCA (it is neither cheap nor easy to get the qualification)
