    BBP is a detailed study text which is very good for better preparation for exams but i think and most of students says that its lay out(structure) is not good and mostly include irrelevant text which is a wastage of time.Student cannot focus on the basic content of a particular topic. While kaplan is very summarised student can easily learn basic and main features of a topic. A serious disadvantage is that sometime it is so less detailed that student can’t even have enough knowledge which is dangerous for exam. so i should recommend both bbp and kaplan that make your text book a balanced and cover enough knowledge about a particular topic which fulfil the needs of the exam. Should not forget that there are many distance learner students ,they don’t have even a teacher so make sure that your study text could help those students in there understanding. A lot of students can’t read study text and afraid of because its understanding is equal to the level of a teacher.I took both the books for any paper because one publisher is not enough to gain proper knowledge, something is missing in one book and hence covered in other book and sometime you cant understand a topic in a book because of the wording use and fewly both.I dont criticise the errors of letters or alphabets.

    @yousouf

    your question should be really aimed at other students πŸ™‚
    I think, if you get stuck with some concepts, Study text will come very handy indeed πŸ™‚

    Having used Kaplan for my AAT and first year ACCA i will not be using them again, i think they beat around the bush, do not get straight to the point and as a result are difficult to read and sometimes do not answer queries. I have also found they have a lot of mistakes. Get through guides was recommended by my tutor and i found it very helpful.

    I am using Independant colleges own text books along with part time study, I previously used BPP and found they did not sufficiently get the basic points across and included too much detail to be able to get through in three months preparation for the exams.

    I have been using kaplan and few bpp book since i have started CAT and all the way till now in acca. I used bpp for those papers which mainly empasized in only broad theoritical questions like t5 or f1. Kaplan is good in math but they somtimes make silly mistakes. I have used get through guides once i felt i was wrong about bpp that their books are lengthy, gtg is far more detailed than bpp and its sometimes boring.

    well, download OT notes and watch all available lectures for your papers!
    I’m afraid, you need to get Revision kit, and practice as many past questions as you can

    I prefer Kaplan for Numerative papers and Bpp for Theoritical Papers. Where the study material is volumenous I read once and resort to opentuition materials.

    Kaplan. Simply because the books are thinner so that I can move on to the exem kits sooner. πŸ™‚
