I got two calls for internships this week. First from one of the big four fir for a 2 months unpaid internship and the other is a starting up company offering 6 months paid internship

Please advise me on what to chose.

The choice should be obvious here unless you are really in dire need of money.
How many people can say they have interned or work at a big 4 on their cv? Have you considered that they may give you a full time contract after these 2 months if they are satisfied with your work?
Even if you are not offered a full time contract after your internship, it will be a good opportunity for you to make some networking there, who knows this can lead to future job prospects.
Well this is just my opinion.

As someone who has worked in a big 4 firm for some time, trust me it looks amazing on a resume and the firms are always hiring. Who knows, if you perform well, you could well get hired. Even if you don’t get hired, make connections during your time there and use that to your advantage when your internship comes to an end.
Only thing I worry is the duration. Two months is very little time to learn anything at a big 4 firm!

Thank you for your advice. I chose Big 4 firm and it was extended for another 2 months which ended last month. Now I’m an ACCA affiliate I’m trying in 2 of the big 4 firms.
