Hello, can anyone please provide me with information regarding the UK SBR exam. I have looked at the acca Website and unfortunately no supplementary chapters. I don’t have any portal for study either?

The exam seem to be very detailed question as well as calculations on UK standards, where is students learning this information?

You will find some content related to UK variant on this site. There’s information towards end of notes and at end of lectures-

It is generally advised on this site not to take the UK variant unless you are on a very particular career path (becoming an audit partner in UK is the example I think that is given). In any case the following thread should be useful to you-

Slight correction to above “Only if you are on a career path to becoming a registered auditor in the UK and/or Ireland should you consider sitting SBR-UK rather than SBR-INT (as the scope of examinable documents for the UK syllabus is more extensive).” The preceding quote is from article about order in which exams should possibly be taken if thinking strategically.

Sorry for the slightly disjointed response in this thread but hopefully it was of some help.

Thank you for getting back to me – I had made a mistake when booking it and selected the UK version (with no option to modify) 🙁

Thank you for advising and will look at notes at the bottom of the revision pack!

jhirani13, I answered in general terms because I wasn’t sure of your particular situation, but hopefully some of my answer may also be useful to others coming across this thread. It’s unfortunate that mistake over paper version was made, but it is done now, so it’s good you are concentrating on dealing with the future. On the plus side, you will know a certain number of marks will be dedicated to UK aspect of syllabus. Anyway, good luck with the exam and with any further studies you undertake. Please don’t hesitate to ask if you have further questions. You are very welcome.
