I feel there should be a Type 4 acquisition, where the acquirer is exposed to only business risk and not financial risk. I think this will be the case where a company acquires another company in separate line of business, and there is no change in the level of gearing in the acquirer.
Am I thinking correctly?
The terms “types 1 to 3” have been removed from the syllabus 🙂
