Hi, I just sat my PM exam and now contemplating on taking TX next. I am hesitant because the available ebooks for Kaplan/BPP are only valid til March 2021 and I am not confident since I am starting TX from scratch so I am thinking of taking FR first in March then TX on June (in case I fail the TX exams then my materials will be valid longer)
What would be a better option for me, Kaplan or BPP study text? I understand from most comments that BPP goes into more detail and Kaplan is simpler.
What about for practice exams?
Any input/tips would be great! Thank you!
December 13, 2020 at 7:57 am #599773Hi. I have never used BPP, always used Kaplan. And my last exam was about UK tax. I also self studied.
I like ACCA book. It is well structured, detailed enough to understand but i think it includes only relevant things for exam.
I studied a lot but used only book, acca technical articles for revision and exam kit. Kaplan exam kit is grear. In the end i didnt find exam too difficult. Because after doing exam kit there was no question that surprised me or that i hadn’t covered something similar. So i do recommend kaplan 🙂
Ps good strategy to postpone tax to june! Especially with this corona going on!December 14, 2020 at 6:50 am #599861Thanks this helped a lot! 🙂
