can we (or are we required to) include the following in RAP on Topic 8?
..calculatiions and analysis of non financial performance indicators
..Analysis of and reccomendations on company’s strategy – industry trends, swot analysis, PESTEL, product related strategies etc? (p3 and p5 topics)
..Valuation of company using free cash flows or other models (p4 topics)

So topic 8 is “An analysis and evaluation of the business and financial performance of an organisation over a three year period”.
Here is what you need to do. List down your research objectives. See what you must do to achieve them. The questions you are posing area bit abstract. You need to realise that there are a lot of things which one could cover in the given topic, and no two viewpoints are similar. One of the primary things that bind you? The word count. Hence, narrow down your research objectives, and take it from there.
Btw, in my opinion, first two are pretty commonly covered in topic 8, but the last one might not be so relevant. My two cents.

For inclusion of calculatiions and analysis of non financial performance indicators:
You can include in business analysis side but not financial and it also depends upon company’s situation and performance. For example, for a loss making company you can use a Business Failure model such as Altman’s Z Score model.
For Analysis of and reccomendations on company’s strategy – industry trends, swot analysis, PESTEL, product related strategies etc? (p3 and p5 topics):
You can only use two models for a RAP. Using more than two will not lead you to a proper conclusion unless you effectively utilize your word count. So, you can recommend company strategies or comment on their strategy but remember the flow:
Introduction ——> Analysis ——–> Conclusion.
