I am currently going through the topics and have just reached Chapter 5 I can go through the lectures and am able to understand the example questions. However, when using the BPP exam kit I cannot seem to get the theory and application for them
Would you be able to advise on the best way forward on how to apply this to exam questions?
Also, are the exam questions in the textbooks very similar to the ones likely to be seen in the exam?

The best way is to ask on here what you do not under stand so that we can work out where you are going wrong.
Yes, the questions in the textbooks are similar to what you would be expected to see in the real exam.
