Ticks mock 2 Q2 Autocrat

RRichard7y ago
Dera Sir I have never understood ticks properly. Anyway, in this question, the reason for the 3/12 is the interest rate future being the 3 month thingy? In other words would not apply to forex future? Now, the tick value is 12.50....but I get 1250 which i know is wrong. I am taking the 2 decimal places after the future, eg. 95.29....the .29 being .10 and saying 500000 x 3/12x.100? Please help clear this up

Please don't have me type out what is explained in full in my lectures. 3/12 only applies to interest rate futures (and options). 1 tick is 0.01% 500,000 x 0.01/100 x 3/12 = 12.50
