professor when we are asked to write substantive procedures, is that true we will not get full marks, if most of our procedures are analytical substantive procedures?

You will find detailed guidance on marking here https://opentuition.com/topic/how-to-score-marks-in-aa-essential-guidance What is a RELEVANT substantive procedure will depend on the specifics: - Class of transactions or account balance - Risk of misstatement/Assertions at risk - Need for SUFFICIENT appropriate evidence - i.e. from different sources. Therefore thinking about the possible RANGE of evidence gathering procedures "AEIOU" and not just "A" should help you give a far better answer than one that considers only "A" and may not be very suitable (!)
