Good Evening John,
I have the Kaplan Study Text for FA. I look at your lectures , use the notes and go through the exercises. Afterwards, I use the study text to write any additional notes.
What I would like to ask is, do I need to use the study text if I’m using the notes and looking at lectures on Open Tuition?
I do have the exam kit as well.

No – you do not really need the Study Text if you are watching our lectures 🙂
It is the Exam Kit that is essential. Once you have finished studying it is then vital to practice all of the questions in the Kit. Any you get wrong, look back at the relevant lecture or ask in this forum. Then work through all of the questions again 🙂
