I am currently working through the Kaplan book before I use open tuition for revision. I am struggling to find a way to condense and learn all the notes for IAS and IFRS.
Do you have any ideas on a method I can try as I am sitting this exam in June for the first time.April 11, 2015 at 2:28 pm #240900Given what you have just written, I suggest that you carefully place the Kaplan text on a shelf in a dark corner of a room, close te door, and leave it there I disturbed until you come across something that you don’t understand in your further studies.
Now, go to a different room, download the free course notes, open up the video recordings and start watching and listening.
When you have gone through the videos twice, open a revision kit / exam kit from a reputable publisher and start trying past exam questions
And when you come to something that you don’t understand, post on this page again and I’ll answer your questions

I started my ACCA journey last year and yet to pass an exam. I have failed tax twice, by 1 mark the second time so thought I would try F7 to get myself going and resit tax in September.
Do you know how many hours total the F7 videos are so I can change my study plan.
Opentuition helped me improve my mark but silly errors took away the one I needed!
You guys are doing a great job!April 16, 2015 at 11:15 pm #241555No, there’s no way I can know how many hours there are. The only thing I could say is that they are worth every penny! If you think that these were recorded over the period of 1 week, 6 hours per day, then you have a maximum of 30 hours of lecture recordings. But not all were uploaded and not all lectures were recorded.
So, as stated, a maximum of 30 hours
And, if you need to, post again with any queries that you may have
