Hi,
I have been having a lot of difficulty in answering questions, particularly substantive test questions. I do not know what to write for a question and get stuck to the point I end up looking at the answer.
As basic as it may seem, after I attempt a question and then review the answer, should I try it again until I get it right or should I simply move into the next question in my exam kit.
Much appreciated
Any tips in regards to approaching the exam kit also would be of great help with the amount of time left.
November 29, 2022 at 7:22 am #672836Hello again – as I replied to you before trying it again until you “get it right” is rote learning and is NOT the way to tackle questions in the AA exam https://opentuition.com/topic/praciting-questions
Start with this short article https://opentuition.com/acca/aa/audit-tests-difference-tests-control-substantive-tests
Then attempt Q18 Gooseberry from the M/J18 exam which you will find here https://www.accaglobal.com/in/en/student/exam-support-resources/fundamentals-exams-study-resources/f8/past-exam-papers.html Then READ the related article which you will find referenced in this post here to mark your attempt and understand what will and what will not earn marks https://opentuition.com/topic/how-to-score-marks-in-aa-essential-guidance
See also this lecture on Q3 Vega Vista https://opentuition.com/acca/aa/acca-aa-revision-lectures
Then attempt Q Spinach Co parts (a), (b) and (c) from M/J22 in the CBE practice platform (using navigator this is Qs “7, 8, & 9”) – then read the examiner’s report debrief (starts on page 20 of the report that you can download from here https://www.accaglobal.com/in/en/student/exam-support-resources/fundamentals-exams-study-resources/f8/examiners-reports1.html)
For additional Q practice on this topic you will find recommendations in the examiner’s report at the bottom of page 24. For each Q you attempt you should read the examiner’s report commentary to get a grasp of how to earn the easiest marks.
