SBRstill use old textbook?

Hi, I am about to take 2013 P2 exam. Can I still use the 2012 Bpp book?

Be careful. I self study for ACCA, and thought I could use a 2011 textbook for the 2012 exam, but I soon discovered there had been a few major changes rendering the some of the 2011 textbook no longer relevant due to the changes, so I invested in an up-to-date textbook just to be sure.

My advice would be to buy an up-to-date study text and that way you're safe in the knowledge that what you are studying is still relevant, and perhaps more importantly, it will contain details of any new changes - these are ripe for being examined, and if you're relying on an out of date study text, you might not get to know about them and will be putting yourself at a disadvantage.

I've just sat P2, and if I don't pass, I'll be buying a new study text rather than just re-using the 2012 one.

Thanks so much. Ur advice is valuable. I guess I will buy an updated study text.

There is lot of material available on ACCA website itself, past question papers and articles are quite good. They provide you with confidence which none of the study texts can provide. Prepare for recent IFRS updates using some good websites.
