hey! I have just started preparing for acca nd beginning with f1. So can you tell me that the notes from opentution are sufficient for the exam purpose ? Also can you describe how the initial exams are(difficulty level)?
September 16, 2019 at 6:26 pm #546295Congratulations on starting your journey towards the ACCA qualification.
Our notes and lectures are sufficient to give you the basic factual information. Be aware: they are notes not a full text and do not go into as much detail as a textbook. But you have to be realistic too: if you bought a thick text book would you remember it all? You only need to achieve 50% in the exam.
However, although we think the notes and lectures are fine for success in the exam, we do insist that lots of question practice is essential and our site does not provide that (though there are some self test questions and flash cards). You MUST buy a revision kit from one of the big publishers. If you buy from BPP you will get a 20% discount if you buy through this site.
When you answer questions in the revision kit, do not mark your answers in the book. Keep it clean so that you can revisit questions later without any hints.

September 21, 2019 at 2:06 pm #546891Yes. Our notes represent the minimum you should know. You will soon find out if you know enough when you try the questions in the revision kit you buy.
