I am attempting the specimen exam PP however whenever I am correcting the answer my answers are far more different from those of the examiner. Could you kindly let me know what should i do to improve please? Slide and notes below. Thanks
Key Benefits of Big Data Analytics to DCS company and customers
• Shifting to the high value added will enhance DCS operational efficiency and its competitivity strengths.
• Provide a better service to DCS customers
• Issue a more sophisticated advertising campaign and target niche customers
• Less costly to DCS company and provides a clear picture of the market.Notes:
Assuming that DCS will shift to exploit cloud computing and big data analytics which provides lower cost data storage, will enhance the entity operational efficiency and productivity.
In addition, DCS will be able to provide better customer service since through structured and unstructured data the company can identify and keep tract of its customers wishes and products that it look to purchase.
The benefits are increased further by having a more sophisticated advertising campaign and targeting niche customers.April 12, 2021 at 9:38 am #617142First, I would say that the question is badly worded. For example, I see little to distinguish between ‘key benefits’ and ‘main opportunities’. In addition, and unusually, the question seems almost entirely theoretical as there are no examples given in the exhibits about problems that data analytics might help solve. The only connection with question data is that 75% of the public are on the internet – so at least there is likely to be data to analyse – bit even that is of limited use to DCS because it seems that DCS does not sell much, if anything to the public. DCS’s customers might do.
You need two slides and you have to address benefits/opportunities for both DCS and its customers.
I think your answer could be as good as the model answer (though only one slide is given and more is needed). Be careful not to simply repeat your bullet point in the notes (for example the 3rd bullet point and last note are identical). Points to note particularly are: Predictive analytics (very important in big data), analysis of customer behaviour when visiting web-sites.
You are not doing badly with a very awkward question.
