Are each of the following statement used in the material control cycle, true or false?
    1) a material requisition will be completed when materials are needed from stores by a production department.

    2) a purchase order is sent to the purchasing department to request that materials be ordered from a supplier.

    3) a goods received note is sent to the supplier to confirm that goods have been received.

    True False
    A: (1 and 2) (3)
    B: (2 and 3) (1)
    C: (1) (2 and 3)
    D: (1 and 3) (2)

The correct answer is C in the bpp kit. I want to clear my concept why not D?

A goods received note is not sent to the supplier – it is sent to the accounts department so that when they have the invoice from the supplier they can check that the goods were actually received.
