General ACCASitting for 2 papers on December

Well, I am totally not in favour of Full-time students to sit 2 papers in 1 sitting and here you are with a full time job with max 2hrs to study. So I will certainly NOT recommend you to sit 2 papers in December. And the papers you have mentioned are surely not easy ones. You have better chances of passing and securing good scores if you sit 1 paper per sitting. And all of us want to pass in the first attempt, isn't it? So I will advise you to give PM (F5) in December. Then FR (F7) in March And Finally TX (F6) in June The reason why I will NOT give TX(F6) in March sitting because that is the last sitting for the syllabus and finance act. And from June onwards a new finance act has to be studied. That would mean if any one is not able to pass TX (F6) in March, that person will have to study the new finance act for June. This would mean he would need new books ( study text and revision kit) that are in accordance with the relevant finance act. So for me this is almost equivalent to start all over. June and September sittings are best to sit for TX (just to be on the safe side). Hope this helps.

I would not recommend you to sit 2 papers in December especially with a full time job and if you have not already started studying for them. I thought I can do 2 in one go, I sat 2 professional level exams, Advanced Corporate Reporting and Advanced Performance Management and failed both in June 2018..... I also have a full time job, very demanding position. But I also have a child to raise. Hope this helps.

When I studied for F6 tax with a child and a full time job on the side, I did not watch any TV and did not go anywhere for 3 months. I studied every evening from 8pm after I put my child to bed until midnight, 1am, sometimes just 10-11pm as often my eyes got inflammed, red, watery and I was unable to keep them open. I studied every weekend nearly all day, even when I took my child to the park and I only passed F6 tax with 50% but of course, you may be luckier and may quickly pick things up. Quicker than I did. :)

Hello, guys. Someone asked the same question, but my papers are AA and FM, and I have full time job. Is it doable? what do you recommend? how much time shoul I devote studying for coming 3 months. Thanks all for answers.

Want to mention that FM is not hard for me, it just requires good remembering I think, But I have no Audit experience and that paper is completely new for me.

@efthymiosc If you think you are fully prepared for F5 and have ample time to study well for F7 I think and hope there will be no issues in giving both of them in December. And if in any case, you think you are not fully prepared and need more time, you can surely extend your exam to the next sitting. Sitting 2 papers in 1 sitting is a big No from my side whether for a full time student or with a full-time job. One paper per sitting helps to secure a better first time pass. So I advise you to give one 1 in December and the other one in March. AA is a theory based paper which many students may not be a fond of since it requires a lot learning and the pass rates speak for themselves. If you have given F1 and F4 you won't have much of an issue since the knowledge is carried forward to F8(AA). In any case, for each paper practice as many questions as you can from an ACCA Approved Provider to secure a good pass. And that's the reason why I am saying it's better to give 1 paper per sitting since you will have ample time to devote to prepare for each paper. Depends on what quality those '2 hours are of'. I studied APM and AFM in around 2 months~, sat in march and passed with around 70%
