SBRSitting for 2 papers in June 2020

KKostas6y ago
Hi to all. I am looking your advice (specially from someone already passed these exams) in sitting SBR and AAA in June 2020 or sit just SBR. I have three papers in total to qualify. I am working full time, have family with a kid and i am pushed to complete ACCA till 2024 as i am nearly 40 and last exam was two years ago. Previous passings were most of them with second sit one paper per time. I feel to be in hurry this time thats why i am thinking of two sittings in June. I am used to sit one paper every 6 months but now i am willing to study from January till June one or two P exams. Thank you in advance.

Hi ,if you failed SBR recently and you have got all uptodate materials ,like course notes and revision kit then I think you should concentrate on SBR first and get it out of your way .Reason is ,you are already familiar with the Paper and you can assess where you went wrong last time and work on it .And will be able to focus more if you do only one paper .Whereas I passed AAA recently ,there is lot to cover and pass rate you will see is quite low .Hope my advice is of help to you .

Extremely sorry I thought you are retaking SBR .Still I think you should take one paper at a time .even though pass rate is high for SBR it is also quite big in terms of syllabus and question patterns has changed now after it has become SBR from P2 .Wish you luck .

I really struggled with taking another exam with SBR (work full time but have always taken two together) as there is a lot to learn and to get your head around however AAA does base a lot of its knowledge on standards which are also taught in SBR. Personally I would stick to just the one exam.

Thank you for the advice, appreciated.
