Hi All,
I sat my first ACCA exam in December 2014. It was P1 and I passed it 😉 Now I am as happy as a clam. However, it is time to think of what should be next. I know that the compulsory professional papers are P1,P2,P3. I have been just wondering if the order of papers has anything to do with the order of sitting these exams. I know that I should repeat my knowledge from F7 before sitting P2. Unfortunately I was exempt from F7 so my knowledge is not so great at the moment. Therefore I would prefer to sit P2 a bit later, maybe in December 2015 session
I am thinking of taking P3 in June. Are there any disadvantages of my approach? Would it be harder to take P3 without P2 knowledge?
Could you please summarize for me what to expect from P3? Is it harder than P1? More theoretical or more practical (calculations? )

There is no relationship between P3 and P2 you can take P3 before no problem.
You should feel quite similar while studying P3 and for me it is even more interesting than P1. You should be able to do basic calculations from F5/F9 – NPV, ABC accounting, decision making etc. – but quite basic level, also some variances interpretation and forecasting.
P3 is about APPLICATON not theory 🙂 there are many models to remember and it is not about describing them but using – they only help you to structure the answer.
