Hello,
I have been awarded seven exemptions by ACCA. The following are the exemptions:
Business and Technology (BT)
Management Accounting (MA)
Financial Accounting (FA)
Corporate and Business Law (LW)
Taxation (TX)
Financial Reporting (FR)
Financial Management (FM)
I graduated with an accounting degree more than 15 years ago, and has more than 10 years of accounting experience. I want to get your advise if I should accept the above exemptions. I have the intention to take the ATX and AFM or APM.
If I accept the exemptions, I worry that I will have a lot to catch up on my studies.
I welcome any advise or sharing of your experience.
Thank you.
ACCA now has resources specifically aimed at supporting candidates who accept exemptions.
I strongly recommend that you use the Student Virtual Learning Centre https://studentvirtuallearn.accaglobal.com. Go to “Get Ready Modules”.
The Student VLC is not linked to MyACCA, so if you haven’t used it before you’ll be prompted to create a new account (is very simple).
You will find self-check quizzes on essential syllabus areas and “knowledge recap” e-learning modules if you are not getting the vast majority of Qs right.
This is a far more effective use of your time than studying assumed knowledge in its entirety or foregoing exemptions and sitting applied skills exams.
