1.Do we have to refer to any models in our answers when the question doesnt explicitly asks to refer ?for eg consider this question Shoal plc 12/10 In the above qs ,the first requirement answers state about BCG matrix and pestel analysis(this is found out frm the ans key) 2.Now my question is do we lose marks for not refering them? 3.if our answer contains enough points that meets the requirements of the question arent we likely to score marks without even refering to the related models?

It is always better to use a model where possible otherwise it just becomes an exam in common sense. Models give your answer credibility. More marks are available for using an appropriate model.

Investopedia says: "A turnaround is the financial recovery of a company that has been performing poorly for an extended time. To effect a turnaround, a company must acknowledge and identify its problems, consider changes in management, and develop and implement a problem-solving strategy. In some cases, the best strategy may be to cut losses by liquidating the company rather than trying to turn it around." There is nothing very fancy about the concept: things have been going badly, how do we change that. There is no answer that suits all situations.
