how to calculate number of shares issued if we have a balance of say $500000 share capital at $2 each nor premium?.If we declare dividend do we pay them out of balance of share capital or number of shares issued? ,example let say we declare 35cents per dividend,do we calculate 35% at $50000 or at that number of shares?
May 17, 2016 at 6:49 pm #315483“example let say we declare 35cents per dividend” – that’s not how dividends are described. It may be declared as “35 cents per share” and in the situation where we have $500,000 shares of $2 each, that gives us 250,000 shares and at 35 cents per share that would give a total dividend of $87,500
OK?

There has to be some humour in this route to qualification!
My Dad used to say “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy”
I never found out who Jack was!
