Have anyone had a problem with remote exam?
My exam was lagging so much I was not able to finish it. Its been reported to ACCA and they have cancelled my exam and transfer the credit to December sitting in the exam centre. Never again remote exams!! Im wondering what’s your experience? Or if anything can be done to improve it? ACCA claims its common and they can’t do anything about it! It was so easy for them to offer cancellation and transfer the credit but for me it was horrific experience which put me off remote exams. I can’t stand the noise of everyone typing during the exam in the centre! Its a shame as the questions were quite easy!
Q1 50 marks international NPV, CTA criteria and benefits, ESG
Q2 25marks hedging loan forward rate agreement, futures and collars plus treasury function, other options of managing currency exchange risk in international trading
Q3 25 marks reorganisation based on 2 proposalsSeptember 5, 2025 at 6:22 pm #719888I had a similar issue with remote exam. During my exam my exam practor sent me a message saying that she could not see me and she will be restarting my exam and I went on to lose 5 minutes but then my exam resumed
September 5, 2025 at 6:36 pm #719889I got the same, i messed up in the 50m last part
Did we have to recalc NPV with 11% sales? For the first part Npv i got a positive 8m
September 5, 2025 at 6:43 pm #719891Can anyone hav different exam question .Plz share that as well
September 5, 2025 at 8:07 pm #719898I got a positive NPV on the first part but I’ve seen some people say it was negative and the APV made it positive
September 5, 2025 at 8:34 pm #719899Section A – APV calculation, base case NPV produced a negative and with financing side effects flipped to a positive. There were some FX in there and needed to use CAPM to get Ke.
Section B – Acquisition of low end gyms in a struggling economy. Don’t think I scored too well on the calculations looking back but used FCF method to try and value the businesses.
Section C – Multilateral netting, forward and MMH questions which were quite nice.
Completed all questions with 10 seconds to spare, if I haven’t passed this then I genuinely don’t think I ever will as the questions were much kinder than the last sitting and I feel much better coming out of that one!
September 5, 2025 at 8:41 pm #719901I definitely did my base case NPV wrong. Ah so annoyed!
Section C was the same and didn’t find that too hard
Section B I used FCF method as well but the mention of the uplift of 5% on revenue for year 1 threw me off a bit.
I hope I did enough to pass
September 5, 2025 at 8:49 pm #719902I did get the same questions however my Basecase NPV was positive … God knows what I may have done wrong here
September 5, 2025 at 8:52 pm #719904I feel sooooo stupid, the questions were as good as they will ever be and I somehow went blank in the exam and ran out of time, The NPV question I somehow got a positive 30m which I knew was definitely wrong, and section B I left the free cash flow question until last so i doubt I scored well there either, my only hope is the hedging question and that I somehow got enough working makrs in the other questions to pass
