Hi,
I currently work in industry (for a construction company), but my Director has offered to send me on a secondment to our external accountants so I can learn about a broader range of companies, about financial reporting and auditing, and also so I can tick off some of my PER. What I’m not sure about is how long a secondment would be necesasary to be of benefit. I can’t imagine I’d learn much in, say, 2 weeks, but I’m not sure how long would be suitable. Any advice?
Thanks
hey there ,
i would suggest a year. That’s the best practice.
Long enough to get some experience and short enough to make u focused on goals that u have to achieve by the end of that year.
Or say up to 2 years. No more 🙂
best of luck.
