    Hi Ken,

Thank you for your wonderful lectures. I wrote P3 23 August 2022. I went through the Kaplan Text Book and also used the BBP practice kit with 200 questions. I downloaded another practice kit from the internet with also 200 questions and I have 5 Mock exams. I went through 4 of the mock. 3 of them I took my time just to understand the questions and got pass marks. The 4th one I did under exam conditions and got 38/60. I went through most of the practice kits questions but not all of them.

I just received my mark for the test and got 98. Very close but i did not write well at all and though I would get lower then 98.

My question now is do I go through all the Theory again? I wanted to go through all the lectures again and the notes to make sure I get it 100% on theory and then practice questions again. Will a month do? 6 weeks? Any tips on making sure I get the pass mark this time?

    Regards,
    Hurmill

    Thank you for your comments.

Sorry tomhear about your disappointing result. You have certainly done a tremendous amount of work and you almost certainly know the material well. Therefore my advice is that you do not go through all the material again. It will bore you senseless!

P3 questions can be notoriously tricky, especially the ones phrased like ‘choose all that apply’. One is often left undecided about the last item: to choose or not?

I suggest you concentrate on question practice only going back to texts/notes/lectures when you know little about a question.

When you are doing questions, attack from two directions. For example, on a simple pick one from four multiple choice question:

1 Choose which answer you think is right and justify it to yourself
2 Then consider each of the three you did not choose and justify why you rejected them.

This technique can be extended to more complex questions and really makes you consider each question and each option more carefully.

I suggest you try again before long. Perhaps a month.
