    Dears,

i think the majority here agrees that some of the June 2019 exam requirements were really difficult to comprehend and tackle (especially Q4 required advanced critical thought)
Since it shall be a resit for many of us, does anyone has any solid advice a to how better prepare for such questions? Any resources,, any recommedations,, anything at all?

I would personally highly appreciate any help in that direction,

    Regards

    Hello,

yes I had the same question, as apparently the workbook is not enough. I would recommend iasplus.com – you will find there quite nice summary of all standards and lot of information related to ifrs.

Hello dear fellow SBR UK students, if any of you guys sat tha sbr UK paper in June 2019.

Please guys would you kindly state here what topic areas came up in Question 3, in June exam,
as the examiners review of the June exam only covers the International paper,

so I am in the dark, so no way to know what came up in June paper in SBR UK Q3,

acca are lacking to provide this support to UK versions of all UK papers in the acca13papers, shame, lazy service, the UK bits Cove a minimum of 15%, so the difference between pass and fail.
Many times have I pointed this out to Acca but they seen to be dumb & blind in this regard,

If in fairness they would just determine the pass mark for UK sbr exam takers as marks out of 85%. or take 85% of the exam fees.
Similar slackness with all the “gold” acca approved Bpp and kaplan workbook providers,

but Bpp workbook has Nothing for the UK syllabus in the hard back workbook,

I had to pay £70+7 uk postage, then phone their publishing office in Reading, on numerous days, to finally get the UK syllabus content supplement in an email attachment that I had to print out at extra cost at about £10,
Acca money making game merry go round for acca, Bpp, kaplan, and all the so called “gold” tuition providers
(who always focus on the wrong topics, compared to the actual exam, what is the point getting 97% in a acca tuition provider made up exam, when in the real paper you only get 40 to 47%)
But hey the merry go round, starts again:
acca student empties their bank a/c and all Non acca student parties, fill their turnover.
After the results come out the examiner pontificates this and that, ha ha ha, and the merry go round starts again,

If Acca was a professional body on Par with other UK professional exam bodies such as the Law Society, the Bar Council exams the ICAEW, who they(ACCA) say they are equal to,

but all these Professional Body/Institutes practice Professional OPEN book exams,

is it not about time for acca to be a grown up professional body, or is acca meant for lower school academic achievers and thus acca exams have to follow school style exams, of testing if you can be a good parrot combined with application of the parrot information that you must remember,

acca should look at how ICAEW exams are conducted,

and become a real professional body, if they are a grown up prof body like other UK Professional Institutes. But hey the money making will be truncated for all vested interest.
    End of rant.
