In case the question simply asks for “sales volume variance”, do we need to calculate “sale price volume variance” or “sales margin volume variance“??

3y ago#1The margin variance (either using standard profit or standard contribution depending on whether it is absorption costing or marginal costing). I do explain this in my free lectures on variance analysis.
