Hi sir, one of the roles of the CEO in internal control is to ensure that the company has an effective internal audit. But why is this so?
Why is the internal audit function important to the internal control system?
1 Corporate governance rules ssy that the board is responsible for ensuring there is a good system of IC to safeguard the company’s assets, ensure the business is managed in an orderly fashion and that information produced is reliable.
2 IA spends most of its time assessing and testing the operation of the IC system
