I have downloaded all the lecture notes from OT and reviewed all the videos of the topic areas. I have also done the same with Kaplan (study notes & lectures). I have always scrapped previous CIMA exams. My previous approach has just been using Kaplan and making notes and practicing questions. Is there any other suggested approach? Some people say don’t waste time making notes. Others say question practice but I do find a lot of questions in the CIMA exam practice kit are not the same as objective test so is this best use of my time? People suggest 90 min max study but I am not sure how people do that to be honest. Just like to get ideas/techniques to improve.

    Hi,

Question practice is the key to success. Don’t worry what others are doing, and I doubt that people are only studying for 90 minutes. I think they might do 90 minutes, take a break and then come back again for a further 90 minutes following the break.

You can make your own notes too, but I’d advise you don’t spend too long doing this as otherwise you don’t leave enough time for question practice. Knowledge of all the topics is not sufficient to pass the exams, you need to understand how the questions are asked and how to answer them, which comes from practising the questions.

    Thanks
