    Hi,
I was doing some data analytics using regression analysis in excel. sir, what would grant confidence to the analyst that the data correlate other than the r square? how is the significance f and p values help in this.
apologies if this is outside advanced FM scope. i was just wondering where i will learn this thing better.
    thanks.

You have asked this in the AFM forum, and regression analysis is not examinable in Paper AFM.

It is examinable in Paper MA and in Paper PM (to the same level as in Paper MA), and is explained in the Paper MA lectures on ‘semi-variable costs’.
