to what type of questions do we have to give notes and the end of the answer.?
do we gain any marks for making notes in exam.?

If a question asks you to "calculate" then notes are not required unless they are also specifically asked for. Workings however must always be shown! Marks will be awarded of course where supporting notes are demanded or the student is asked to "explain" or "describe".
