Hi Almighty forum
I hope someone is able to provide guidance on my situation
I am an FP&A Professional. Nothing i do requires booking keeping, general ledger interaction, auditing, and signing of accounts.
I am having issues finding roles in the UK. I have always worked in non-transactional/non-accounting roles for the last 7 years. i am Part-qualified ACCA. Now that i have reached senior level/junior management i am facing issues. Companies want “Fully Qualified”. This becomes an issue because of my level and paygrade is a lot higher than the opportunities i get at “part qualified” status level
To be complete: i intend to finish my final 4 papers in 2023. The reason i paused studies was because i worked for a $10bn Transporation company for 3 years until Oct 2021 that didn’t care about my qualification status. This changed my mindset also and i progressed well in my career
It’s crazy because a HM will completely ignore/discount my 7 years of achievements in my field, just because i do not hold the full qualifications. Has anyone experienced this? what was your solution?
Thank You for taking time to read and help provide your experiences ?
I am in the same situation and I would like to know as well.
