Hello
A paragraph in the answer to this question says:
“In the case study, the potential role of greenTech as a virtual supplier may be very interesting to the board. It would eradicate delay, reduce operational costs, reduce delivery costs and perhaps provide better (but certainly quicker) customer service.”
I do not understand why the 2nd sentence is there, especially the “reduce delay” because in the scenario it clearly mentions:
“Recent feedback from customers suggests that missing promised delivery dates is their biggest complaint. This is because the delivery date agreed early in the order process cannot necessarily be matched by Xsys when it actually receives the confirmed order.”
Please explain.

At the moment the delivery process is inadequate and there are delays. (c)(i) asks you to improve the process and if the company wants to continue its strategy as a virtual supplier then it is essential that delays are eradicated etc by having a better process.
Strategies are all very well but they are only realised through having successful processes.
