Hello,
As i have seen the statement of cash flow hasn’t come like question in 2-3 sittings, can i guess that there is a strong possibility that Q1 will be SCF.
I really struggle with cash flows and I am trying to master my knowledge but I find it quite difficult.
Also I have what was question 1 like in September exam sitting 🙂February 18, 2016 at 1:42 pm #300993@elitsssa said:

Cash flow as an element of financial statements – mandatory for exams at anytime!!!!!! Remember, the examiner want to know we understand the principles and apply them correctly. We tend to forget this purpose and do our own thing.

February 19, 2016 at 12:37 pm #301150I am not spot questioning but actually this method of cash flows isn’t! in much use in my country, for 99% of the entities we use direct cash flow method, so I do not use it in my daily work as auditor so it is really difficult to apply all the principles.
I have practiced all past papers questions. This doesn’t mean that I know it as much as the other elements of financial statements.
I was asking simply what was question 1 look like in September, I do not need your rude tone of guidance how I have to know absolutely everything.Regards

Colleague – the tone is not RUDE!!!!!!!!! The last two exams sitting paper can be found on ACCA website; mark – September/December. It is not different from any other.
Here is the link – international version; if you require any other version, please click on home and navigate from there.

February 19, 2016 at 7:43 pm #301186Colleague, I can find by myself the exams, but they are combine it is not possible that the questions were the same both in September and December!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Never mind I do not want to argue. I wasn’t asking for a link.
February 19, 2016 at 10:40 pm #301194Elitsa, I totally agree with you and I do not believe you are question spotting. I mean there are only 3 major types of question that can come up in question 1 and it’s only normal to favour one type over another.
The major problem with cashflow questions is that there have been so few of them in the past it makes it hard to study for them due to the lack of past paper questions to practice. For this reason I find cashflows very difficult and I really hope it doesn’t come up in March but I’m doing the best with what I have.
Also you were right about the past papers and how they appear on the ACCA website, strangely they only display a hybrid exam of the last two sittings and like you said you already knew this so asked a legitimate question.

Sept was PL and Dec was a SOFP with foreign currency, I sat it in June as well and that was SOFP, didnt do the one in Sept and passed in Dec.
So,I would say there was a good chance of Cash flow in MarchGood luck
