Most of us have been studying very hard but we aren’t going to pass, purely because of ambiguity of questions, an intentional confusion in questions, and an intentional disorganisation of data in those questions.

The writing of the F5 paper is so confusing and they doing that with an intention that a student takes F5 at least 2 times. Pure maths the more attempts – the more money the ACCA will earn.
What the ACCA is really interested in? ? MONEY and MORE MONEY and only MONEY!!!

It is a profit oriented organisation, every six months they are increasing exam fees (more than an inflation rates). Every year the subscriptions fees are higher and higher.

Looking at the Q1 how really much time do we need for this disorganised question? Just to go trough it, just to read through it, and to try to understand those dumped data?

When it comes to ACCA exams, I am starting to question the ACCA ethic!

Completely Wrong! I strongly disagree with your comment. As an ACCA student i love my qualification.

i have more then x10 times reason you quoted above, but the thing you mentioned about Money aint good. you have no idea how much does a CA student spend in order to be a chartered accountant.

Coming to F5, well its performance management. ACCA has been focusing F5 by implementing some discussion topics. Question one is COSTING. I dont see any problem with that, in fact i am proud that i learn traditional methods so that i can kill some old fellows with my knowledge.

Morel ; In this Computer oriented world, you dont really have to be an accountant, you can master yourself by learning some accountancy software’s, but do you think that is justified ? i dont think so 🙂 thats the reason i Choosed ACCA and i’m prod to be an accountant. 🙂

I am proud to be accountant too as well as being ACCA student 🙂

I see what ja9898 means. I felt angry just after exam too and I felt that this particular exam was a little bit of shambles.

But I still think ACCA is good accountancy body. It’s appreciated by employers and it really makes you study hard which means it is worth it’s name.

I am taking this paper (F5) this June and the failure rate is already worrying me. Any advise on how to nail it first time? I am already reading every material I come accross but more exam techniques will be helpful.

    @ja9898
If you think ACCA is cheating, What about the tuition providers? They package ACCA papers like insurance. How can one paper say F5 be sold in three packages. 1) classroom/liveonline 2) Revision course 3) Question based day.
They even have premium and standard for Distance learning. there is no running away from them. You are paying a wooping £930 for one paper and that’s with a discount…… hahahahahahahaha.

Completly RIGHT, I strongly agree with you.
It is not a matter of be proud of not to be ACCA student. You got the point, ACCA is constantly increasing the fees with no reason (considering this bad economy period ). Also this new thing about “early exam entry” it is another way of taking money. They play on the fact that we don’t know yet if we are going to be ready in March for june. the early entry fees is almost the same as before but the other 2 are higher than before.
Bayigga: you are right about the providers. But ACCA gave the power to them making them official providers..and why Kaplan and BPP books are so not well made? They are so poor in explanation. I studied accounting before but sometimes when I read I wonder how a new student could understand the subject with so little information…
A big thanks to OPENTUITION that helps a lot of us without asking any money!!
