Public oversight board a committee formed by business itself to check they are regulating information to people or is it government body to check business for same reason?
It is not a function of the company being audited or preparing financial statements. Nor is it a government function.
It is part of the FRC, an independent body with responsibility for ensuring proper accounting and auditing.
Can you please tell what is function of Public Oversight board?
The Public Interest Oversight Board has representatives from a wide range of users of financial statements. It widens the range of opinions taken into account when accounting and auditing standards are being formulated.
