    Hi

see when it asks about the project initiation document, d you have to talk about the business case, contraints and scope, time , business objectives and goals.

    thank you

There are different views of PIDs and different project managers will have different ideas about the headings. Yours are fine, but see also June 12 Q3, Mahem, part (a)

    hi gromit

is the project initiation doc used to analyse the problems arising in new project?

    1. objectives- is the project manager responsible for day to day decisions? and im not sure what the sponser does?
it states that there is a confusion with the diffrerence of business obj and project obj, in which part in case study that shows the sponser has an missunderstanding?

    2. authority
is this where sponser makes decisions? it says in solutions “focus on VFM rather than other issues” is it the sponsers responsible for VFM? or is that an business obj. also it then says failed to promote project to employees, i cant see in the case study that mentions this?

who is it to blame if project was not successful? as its not the PM

    3. resources- i thought this was the money spent but think im wrong.can you explain.

i am struggling with this topic

I simply think of the PID as a document which answers and defines:
A project initiation document can be thought of as defining/answering the following:

Why is the project being done?
    What will be its outcomes?
    What will it cost?
    What are the constraints?
    What are then risks?
When must it be finished by?
Who are the sponsors, project manager and project team?
    What is the detailed plan?

Look at the OT lectures. I

I have no more to say on this topic.
