i seen in many answers that product lifecycle is mentioned, specially in context of setting realistic objectives according to the product lifecycle , my question is that
1.how to judge looking at the figures that which stage is it in ?
2.when to comment on product or industry lifecycle?
thanks alot
It can be difficult to judge which stage a product is at and even more difficult to predict when the next phase will occur.
In questions if sales are reducing then you assume you are in the decline phase.
If the product has been around for a while with almost stable sales then you are at maturity.
If it is new with rapidly expanding sales, then you are at growth stage.
Comment on the plc if the question seems to give information that allows you to make reasonable comments. If the question says nothing about the age or sales history of the productmyou can say nothing useful about its plc.
